At Redakt, our entire business model is built around never seeing your data. This privacy policy explains what little information we do collect.

1. Document Processing

Redakt is a 100% offline desktop application. When you process, scan, or redact a PDF document using our software, that document never leaves your local computer. We do not upload your documents to our servers, we do not have access to your documents, and we do not collect telemetry on the contents of your documents.

2. Information We Collect

When you purchase a license or visit our website, we collect:

• Email Address: Used strictly for sending your license key, receipts, and critical security updates.
• Machine Fingerprint: A unique hardware identifier (UUID) generated by your computer to prevent software piracy. This is securely stored by our licensing partner (Dodo Payments) to manage your active devices.
• Payment Information: Processed entirely by our merchant of record (Dodo Payments). We never see or store your full credit card numbers.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with essential third-party service providers (like our payment processor) necessary to operate our business and deliver the software to you.
